Job Description

American Heritage Credit Union, a $5.3+ billion credit union, has an immediate opening for a Trainer in our Human Resources area. This position provides human resource services for the Credit Union with primary emphasis in areas of in-house training for new and current employees, and the development and updating of training materials.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Conduct new employee orientation which introduces the topics of basic credit union philosophy, service standards, sales and service culture, product knowledge, general human resource policies, security procedures and compliance. The topics are reviewed with all new staff and "hands-on" training is provided in the classroom setting or in the Training Lab, Complete new hire onboarding process to ensure access to all relevant systems including Symitar, Windows, Profitstars, TrueChecks, etc. and processes Employee Termination Checklist items (off boarding), when needed. Conduct ongoing Product Knowledge classes for current staff, including creating activities, handouts, and updates to the Product Manual. Conduct Credit Union needs analysis for new employee orientation, branch staff training and product knowledge, identifying areas requiring developmental training. Administer the CPD Online, Lemonade, CUES, First Line of Defense, , and other Credit Union online programs, as necessary. Maintain current knowledge of trends and new developments in training practices. Develop and update Credit Union training manuals and related materials, training class curriculums, and training procedures. Assist VP and Talent Development Supervisor in the creation of e-learning courses, including but not limited to, providing content, assist in voice over recordings and capturing video. Answer questions from staff members regarding retail operation, Standard Operating policies and procedures, Microsoft products, Profit Stars, Symitar, and Datava. Assist with the development or editing of department and/or staff procedures. Formulate training outline and determine instructional methods, utilizing individual training, group instructions, demonstrations, and workshops; select or develop training aids such as handbooks, visual aids, and tutorials. Track the progress of trainees through routine tests, observation, and feedback via online course evaluations to assess the effectiveness of the current training.
QUALIFICATIONS
At least three to five years of experience in public speaking and/or training required. Training experience in a financial institution preferred. Bachelor's degree in education, Human Resources or a related field or the equivalent work experience required. Professional, well-developed communication skills necessary for providing training and service to new and current employees. Work requires extensive knowledge of Credit Union jobs. Knowledge of current training practices is also required. Work requires previous public speaking and/or presentation skills. Considerable judgment is required. Must analyze complicated factual situations, apply functional principles and develop solutions. Proficient in time management, critical thinking, and the ability to improvise schedule/agenda adjustments. Intermediate mathematical skills required (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.) Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook, and Word.
