MONTHLY RETAINER + PERFORMANCE-BASED INCENTIVES
" About Us GWU Residential is a licensed Social Rehabilitation Facility (SRF) serving adults ages 18 and older experiencing serious mental health challenges who require a structured residential setting focused on stabilization, recovery, independent living skills, and successful community reintegration. We are seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Operations & Growth Consultant to help develop and strengthen the operational, admissions, referral, marketing, and business development infrastructure necessary to support sustainable growth and long-term success. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned behavioral health professional who understands residential treatment, behavioral health operations, admissions, outreach, relationship development, and program growth. Position Summary The consultant will work directly with ownership to assess current operations and provide strategic guidance regarding program development, admissions systems, referral generation, community partnerships, and organizational growth. The ideal candidate will have experience working within behavioral health, mental health, substance use treatment, healthcare operations, residential treatment, crisis services, or related healthcare environments. Responsibilities Operations & Program Development Assess and improve operational systems and workflows Provide recommendations regarding program structure and efficiency Assist with process development and organizational planning Support quality improvement initiatives Identify opportunities to strengthen service delivery Admissions Development Evaluate and improve admissions workflows Develop lead tracking and referral management processes Improve admissions conversion strategies Assist with intake and screening procedures Business Development Develop referral growth strategies Identify new referral opportunities Assist with outreach planning and execution Support marketing and community engagement initiatives Referral Network Development Build and strengthen relationships with hospitals Develop partnerships with therapists and psychiatrists Identify county behavioral health opportunities Support relationships with conservators, case managers, and community agencies Strategic Growth Planning Assist with census growth initiatives Develop key performance indicators and reporting structures Support long-term growth planning Identify opportunities for program expansion and service enhancement Qualifications Required Minimum 5 years of experience in behavioral health, healthcare, residential treatment, or related industries Experience in admissions, outreach, business development, operations, or program management Strong relationship-building and communication skills Demonstrated ability to develop referral sources and strategic partnerships Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Preferred Experience with Social Rehabilitation Facilities (SRF) Experience with crisis residential or behavioral health programs Director of Admissions experience Business Development experience Executive Director or Program Director experience Knowledge of DHCS, CCLD, and Title 9 regulations Existing relationships within Southern California behavioral health networks Compensation Monthly Retainer Starting at $1,500 per month Performance-Based Incentives In addition to the monthly retainer, the consultant may be eligible for performance-based bonuses based on the successful achievement of mutually agreed-upon business objectives and milestones. Performance incentives may be awarded based on factors including: Referral network development Strategic partnership growth Admissions process improvements Operational infrastructure development Business development initiatives Marketing and outreach accomplishments Occupancy and census growth Implementation of systems and processes Achievement of organizational goals and key performance indicators Specific incentive opportunities and performance expectations will be discussed during the engagement process.
