We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Trainer to help prepare and develop employees who support adults with developmental disabilities. This role is instrumental in ensuring our team members have the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to deliver safe, effective, and meaningful support. What You'll Do Facilitate Training & Employee Development Deliver engaging, instructor-led training sessions for new and current employees. Create a welcoming and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and engagement. Facilitate employee orientation and onboarding programs. Provide instruction on topics related to direct support services, with an emphasis on Adult Services operational needs. Track attendance and maintain accurate training records within the Learning Management System (LMS). Enhance Learning Effectiveness Ensure all training content reflects LifeScape's culture, mission, and values. Apply adult learning principles to create interactive and impactful learning experiences. Identify and resolve training challenges to maximize learner success. Assess learner needs and determine reasonable accommodations when appropriate. Evaluate participant understanding and competency through testing, observation, and feedback. Lead Crisis Intervention Training Obtain and maintain instructor-level certification in the approved crisis intervention program. Serve as a subject matter expert in crisis intervention principles and practices. Deliver initial certification and recertification training to employees. Provide individualized coaching, retraining, and competency support when needed. Conduct refresher trainings to reinforce skills and maintain employee readiness. Support Organizational Learning Initiatives Deliver additional training programs as assigned by the Training & Development Department. Monitor course registrations and attendance requirements through the LMS. Collaborate with Training & Development team members on department initiatives.   • Accountability Job Requirements High School Diploma / GED required.
Post high-school education preferred. Previous training experience in group facilitation required. Must be able to obtain and maintain Crisis Intervention Instructor-level certification. Prior experience in adult residential services or similar settings preferred. All positions require a clear background check and drug screen upon conditional offer.
