GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Training Coordinator will be responsible for creating comprehensive training programs and materials to ensure that associates are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to perform their job responsibilities effectively and safely. This role requires strong instructional design abilities, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of manufacturing processes. This role will require working side by side along our production associates to learn, document, then implement standard operating procedures as it relates to training on our systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Training Needs Assessment:
Conduct assessments to identify training needs and gaps in knowledge or skills among associates. Collaborate with department managers, supervisors, and subject matter experts to gather input and feedback on training requirements. Review existing training documents and update where applicable.
Curriculum Development:
Design and develop training curricula for associates, including both new hire training and ongoing skills development. Create engaging and interactive training materials, such as presentations, videos, manuals, and e-learning modules. Ensure that training content aligns with company policies, procedures, and best practices.
Hands-on Training:
Develop and deliver hands-on training sessions for associates to practice and apply their skills in a real-world manufacturing setting. Create simulations or practical exercises to reinforce learning objectives and enhance retention of information.
Documentation and Evaluation:
Create a documentation / tracking process to ensure accurate records of training activities, attendance, and evaluations for compliance and reporting purposes. Create tools to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, such as assessments, surveys, and feedback from participants and stakeholders.
COMPUTER AND CONTROL EQUIPMENT
Proficiency in MS Office suite and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in training and development, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Experience in Lean Manufacturing methodology; 6Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt Certification, Training Within Industry (TWI) background. Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies. Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.

Requirements:
Preferences ASTD Certification Institute's Certified Professional in Learning and Performance Certification (CPLP) a plus Prior experience training, teaching, facilitation, and course delivery or other public speaking to groups of all sizes in a manufacturing environment.
