Job Description
We are looking to add to our staff team so we can serve more children in our community. We strive to provide a safe and positive environment for children (K-12) from all walks of life. The Youth Development Professional implements targeted activities, supervises members, and evaluates outcomes within a specific program area, supporting our priority outcome areas of Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character and Citizenship. We do this by setting high expectations and providing new opportunities, fun activities, recognizing our club members for their hard work and skills, and by building lasting relationships with staff and their peers. Applicants must have experience working with children, have high energy, and have a demonstrated commitment to excellence. Please understand that this is an entry level position with a posted starting pay of $12.00 per hour. Please only apply if you are available to work the number of hours stated at the published starting wage. We will be conducting summer staff training during the month of May (week of May 25th). This training is mandatory and is a condition of employment. This training will include both formal training in a classroom setting, as well as performance-based training that will include shadowing and coaching with groups of children. There is a break week June 29-July 3 for vacations. Staff are expected to be available for the full eight weeks of summer programming. Staff will potentially have the option of being hired on for the 2026 - 2027 school year. Interested applicants may be hired for the duration of the 2025-2026 school year on an as needed / floating basis. Those wishing to submit an application may do so here on Indeed or from 10:30am - 2:30pm at the Boys & Girls Club.
