Active Treatment Trainer An active treatment trainer is a person who is responsible in carrying out training that will prepare the clients served for independent living. Even if the individual might not ever get there, we can still provide this training so that they can be as independent as possible. The following are the responsibilities for theActive Treatment Trainer:
1) To provide a safe environment free from abuse, neglect and anything that could cause injury or harm in any way to clients served. 2) To provide training in the following areas: a. Safety skills b. Room maintenance c. Clothing skills d. Dressing skills e. Academic skills f. Current events g. Interpersonal skills h. Table setting i. Nutrition j. Grooming and hygiene k. Budgeting and money skills l. Time telling skills m. Health and fitness including doctor visits n. Phone skills o. Kitchen skills p. Art awareness q. Music therapy r. Cultural diversity 3) To maintain any and all dayhab equipment or materials used in training. 4) To clean all areas used during training time as well as restrooms. 5) To maintain daily documentation and behavior data sheets. 6) To inform the supervisor of any unusual incidents and/or accidents. 7) To keep required annual staff training (PMAB, CPR, First Aid) up to date. 8) To communicate with other floor personnel of any situation where their participation is needed. 9) To be sure that the floor is properly covered at all times and all exits are monitored continuously. 10) To maintain certification of CPR/First Aid/AED andS.A.M.A. 11
