Apogee Solutions, a woman-owned small business, is seeking a Training Specialist in San Antonio, TX to support the Air Force Medical Command (AFMEDCOM). Qualified candidates must be a US Citizen able to pass a Tier 1 background check. The Training Specialist will oversee the end-to-end management of the IDES training program, which includes developing and maintaining the overall training program plan, designing and developing engaging and effective curriculum, and conducting needs assessments to identify and address training gaps.
AFMEDCOM
provides operational medical capability through appropriate organization, training, and equipping of medical forces to be organic components of the warfighting force.The Training Specialist will:
Coordinate the delivery of all training across multiple platforms (e.g., monthly webinars, CBTs) and is responsible for establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement. Develop and deliver the annual Education and Training Plan, which outlines all strategic efforts to meet the educational needs of PEBLOs and medical providers, ensuring all subsequent training products align with the Warrior Care Policy (WCP) Training Standards and Performance Objectives (TSPO) Guidebook. Develop, maintain, and update the full suite of PEBLO training materials, which includes creating and conducting annual reviews of the PEBLO computer-based training (CBT), as well as producing slides, flowcharts, checklists, and other training aids as required, ensuring all content meets DoDIDES TSPO
guidelines. Deliver regular and ad-hoc training to the PEBLO workforce to include leveraging data analysis to develop and conduct monthly sustainment training webinars that address current policy changes and best practices, as well as providing virtual or in-person 1-on-1 training to newly assigned PEBLOs as needed. Manage and track all training activities across the enterprise, including tracking initial and annual PEBLO training completion, identifying trends in training compliance, and generating reports forAFMEDCOM
leadership as required. Required Experience US Citizen with the ability to pass a Tier 1 background check Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study such as management, business, or healthcare administration, or other relevant healthcare specialties such as health information management, or nursing management OR an additional 4 years of direct experience A minimum of 7 years' experience in the military health care environment, possessing an in-depth knowledge of the AFMS organization, mission, and operations gained through Healthcare Operations, Health Information Management, or Health Information Systems activities 5 years' experience working directly within the DoD Disability Evaluation System (DES) or as a PEBLO 5 years' experience in the creation, storage, and retrieval of data in DAF and Military Health Service systems In-depth knowledge of the DES process and DoD DES guidelines through prior experience creating training materials, user guides, or similar instructional documents Supervisory experience is highly preferred Apogee Solutions is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
