Training Coordinator Organization:
Virginia Association of First Responders (VAFR)
Reports To:
Executive Director Position Overview The Training Coordinator is a key member of the VAFR statewide office team responsible for supporting, coordinating, and advancing the Association's training programs across the Commonwealth. This position works closely with the Training Officer, Training & Education Committee, volunteer training officers, and instructor cadre to ensure successful planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of VAFR training programs. Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Coordination & Delivery Coordinate statewide training programs and course logistics Support instructors and training cadre in course delivery Serve as liaison with partner agencies and stakeholders Event & Training Operations Support major events including: Virginia First Responder Symposium Annual Convention Spring BOG Training Assist with course scheduling, tracks, and logistics Registration & Administration Manage course registrations and participant records Process rosters, certifications, and documentation Provide customer support for training inquiries Database & Systems Maintain training database and records Generate participation and performance reports Learning Management System (LMS) Support LMS implementation and administration Assist in converting courses to hybrid/online formats Monitor course engagement and effectiveness Equipment & Asset Management Track and manage training equipment, vehicles, and trailers Coordinate maintenance, scheduling, and compliance Budget & Financial Support Assist with training budget development and tracking Communications & Materials Support development of training materials and catalogs Ensure accurate information across website, app, and publications QualificationsRequired Virginia Office of EMS Education Cooridinator High school diploma or equivalent Experience in training coordination, program administration, or related field Strong organizational and project management skills Proficiency with computer systems and databases Preferred Experience in first responder training programs Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) Experience coordinating large-scale events Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Adaptability in a fast-paced environment Additional Requirements Ability to lift 25 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed Valid Virginia driver's license with clean record Ability to pass background check and drug screening How to Apply Email resume to bubbybish@vafr.org
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
