Job Description

Position Summary The Electronic Test Development Specialist provides technical engineering support to the United States Coast Guard Command's Automated Circuit Card Assembly Support (ACCAS) Facility. The position supports the development, maintenance, testing, and certification of automated electronic test solutions used to sustain legacy Coast Guard systems. They perform reverse engineering, test routine development, test fixture fabrication, electronic troubleshooting, and depot-level maintenance support for electronic assemblies and circuit cards that are no longer supported by original manufacturers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop, modify, and maintain Pinpoint Test Program Databases (TPDs). Develop and maintain Gold Disk test routines. Assemble, configure, and integrate Pinpoint automated test equipment systems. Develop and fabricate electronic test fixtures and test jigs. Perform reverse engineering of commercial and legacy electronic assemblies. Analyze electronic systems, subassemblies, and circuit cards to determine repair feasibility and cost effectiveness. Support root cause analysis and troubleshooting activities. Maintain EEPROM databases and programming files. Interface with Coast Guard Product Lines and Shared Services personnel to develop technical solutions. Maintain technical libraries, engineering data, and associated documentation. Assist with inventory accountability and property management activities. Support procurement actions and administrative documentation as required. Participate in quarterly reporting and technical status updates. Maintain compliance with all applicable Coast Guard, DHS, NAVSEA, and 2M/MTR requirements. Required Qualifications Minimum six (6) years of experience in electronic test, repair, maintenance, or engineering support. Current or previous Miniature/Microminiature Repair (2M/MTR) certification. Current or previous Microminiature Electronics Repair Technician certification. Current or previous MTR Gold Disk Developer certification. Ability to obtain or maintain Pinpoint certification within six months of hire. Ability to recertify under Navy and Coast Guard 2M/MTR standards. Experience with Windows-based automated test systems. Experience developing automated test routines. Experience with EEPROM capture, decoding, and database management. Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and electronic document management systems. Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience supporting U.S. Coast Guard or Department of Defense maintenance activities. Experience with depot-level electronic repair programs. Experience with reverse engineering of obsolete electronic assemblies. Experience with test fixture design and fabrication. Experience supporting legacy communications, navigation, or control systems. Security Requirements Ability to successfully complete a favorable fingerprint check and government suitability screening. Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Common Access Card (CAC). Ability to comply with DHS, USCG, and facility security requirements. Physical Requirements Ability to work in laboratory and electronics repair environments. Ability to lift and transport electronic equipment and test fixtures. Ability to use precision electronic tools and equipment. Ability to sit, stand, and work at electronic workstations for extended periods. Work Schedule This position is performed onsite in Portsmouth, Virginia. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday between 0700 and 1700 Eastern Time. $85,000.00 per year
