Job Description

Youth Development Professional Jackson Boys & Girls Club Pay Rate:
$11 to $14.00 Per Hour (based on educational attainment and experience)

20-25 Hours/Week Club Specific Summer Program Details If you are looking for an opportunity to create community impact, something that will truly make a difference in children's lives, this is the position for you! Our team is passionate about creating educational, safe, fun, and enriching opportunities for the youth of Washington County. We're looking for someone extraordinary to aid our mission and assist in improving the lives of kids!
Primary Responsibilities:
Supervise Club spaces to ensure the safety of all members. Spaces may include gymnasium, games room, art room, computer lab, outdoor recreation areas. Identify, address, and set consequences for negative behaviors of members. Plan and put on enriching and educational activities and games in a variety of Club spaces. Plan and put on enriching and educational IMPACT programs (ran in 8-week sessions) for members. Engage members in a positive manner while supervising, putting on programs, and running activities. Provide a mentoring relationship with members who need it. Assist the Unit Director in planning Club events, theme days, and other related special events/days. Assist in set-up and clean-up of Club spaces. Assist the Unit Director in other tasks that may come up on a day-to-day basis
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:
High School Graduate/GED Child care and/or working with youth in a group and structured manner Able to work well as a team member Able to work in a fast paced environment Able to give detailed instruction to others Able to make logical decisions based upon gathering information from others Self-motivated Passionate about supporting youth to have a successful future!
