META24 - which is utilized at Banner Prep -- is an innovative, therapeutic, project-based learning program focused on helping students grow through creativity, entrepreneurship, technology, and hands-on learning. Through the META24 model, students engage in real-world projects, workforce development, and specialized learning labs designed to support students who may not thrive in traditional school settings. We are seeking a passionate Lab Facilitator who is a practitioner first — industry professionals, creatives, makers, entrepreneurs, or skilled tradespeople who can mentor and teach students through hands-on experiences. Position Summary META24 Lab Facilitators lead day-to-day instruction within a specialized lab while helping students build technical, workforce, and entrepreneurial skills through project-based and work-based learning. Facilitators are practitioner-first educators — makers, designers, technologists, tradespeople, entrepreneurs, and industry experts who actively work within their craft and have the temperament and skill to teach young people. This is not a traditional classroom teaching role. Facilitators run real working labs where students make, build, design, create, sell, and earn while developing skills across the five META24 mastery areas: Machine, Software, Core, Skill, and Workforce Mastery. Facilitators use META24 technology tools and AI systems (METTIE) daily to support instruction, document student growth, and connect student work to real-world ventures and credentialed learning opportunities. Responsibilities Lead hands-on, project-based learning experiences Teach technical and workforce skills within a specialized lab Mentor and support students through real-world projects Maintain safe, organized lab environments Support entrepreneurship, portfolio development, and venture-based learning Collaborate with staff, mentors, and community partners Qualifications Professional experience, credentials, or demonstrated expertise in a related field or trade Experience working with youth or adult learners Strong communication and relationship-building skills Comfortable using technology and AI-supported learning tools Safety-first mindset around equipment and lab operations Practitioner first, educator second mentality Patient, energetic, adaptable, and mission-driven Comfortable receiving feedback and maintaining high standards of professionalism and student support
