Job Summary:
Provide detailed instruction relating to the set-up, operation and maintenance of plastic and silicone injection molding systems. Conduct research to stay current on upcoming technologies, assist with developing and validating technical training products.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Employee skills/needs assessment(s) to support a development plan for staff. Create, organize, plan, and present various forms of training for all team members as needed. Develop and keep current a vast array of training programs to fit the needs of all technical groups that support the design/build/ and operations of the business related to injection molding. Create and/or acquire training manuals, guides, and course material. Track and maintain training data bases for training needs as well as who has completed training. Presentation of all training to staff using various forms and formats to include group discussions, lecture, and videos and animations. Evaluation of effectiveness of training and feedback from employees and leaders on the effectiveness of the training and or changes/improvements desired. Maintain knowledge of the latest trends in training and development. Train multiple technologies to staff, RJG, Priamus, all machine controllers. Train staff on materials that are used in the molding process. Train staff to all documentation needed in the roles trained. Performs other duties as required.
Essential Qualifications:
15 years of proven injection molding proficiency Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, including written communication Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods Demonstrated ability to design and implement effective training and development Proficient use of Injection molding machine controllers Expert knowledge of RJG and thermoplastics/thermosets (SIL) molding processes
Desirable Qualifications:
Previous Leadership experience In depth knowledge and understanding of Injection Molds and DFM Regulatory compliance knowledge Good Documentation Practice experience
ADA Requirements:
Typically sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for frequent operation of a computer Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about occasionally Lift, move or otherwise transfer items up to 15 lbs. occasionally 20 - 30% Travel What SMC has to offer?
