In this role, you will be responsible for managing comprehensive HR functions, including payroll processing, benefits administration, employee relations, and compliance with employment laws. Responsibilities Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including timecard review, discrepancy resolution, reporting, and journal entries Coordinate new hire onboarding, including paperwork, system setup, and benefits orientation Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files, ensuring all updates and documentation are properly filed Process accounts payable related to employee benefits and insurance invoices Support monthly financial processes and account reconciliations Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, renewals, and coordination with external providers Track and manage employee timecards including vacation, holidays, and leave balances Assist with retirement plan administration, including 401(k) meetings, reporting, and compliance tasks Oversee workers' compensation reporting, billing, and annual audits Coordinate employee engagement activities such as birthdays, anniversaries, and company events Coordinate on-site health services and employee wellness initiatives Provide backup support for accounting and front desk/reception functions as needed Support employee relations by addressing workplace conflicts through effective conflict management strategies and fostering a positive work environment. Requirements Minimum of 2 years' experience in Human Resources, Payroll, or accounting role High School Education is required, Bachelor's or Associate degree is preferred Applicants must exhibit excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively listen and express ideas, both written and verbal Must possess a solid understanding of payroll processing and timekeeping systems Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software Experience with ERP or payroll systems (e.g. NetSuite, PayDay, timekeeping software) preferred Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands Pay & Benefits This position is paid hourly, starting rate is $22/hour. Working hours are from 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Monday through Thursday and 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM on Fridays. Medical, Vision, and Dental health insurance is offered 401(k) matching up to 4% Quarterly profit-sharing bonuses are given based on company and individual performance.
