Job Description

Pet Care Technician (Kennel) - Dandy Dog Daycare Do you love working with dogs and cats? Are you reliable, detail-oriented, and motivated to provide exceptional care? Dandy Dog Daycare is looking for a dedicated Pet Care Technician to join our team. This role combines animal care, daycare supervision, kennel duties, and customer service , making it ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. About the Role As a Pet Care Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the health, safety, and happiness of our guests while delivering excellent service to their owners. Key Responsibilities Supervise dogs during off-leash group play and monitor behavior/body language Provide attentive care, including feeding, administering medications, and ensuring overall well-being Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary facility (kennels, play areas, and common spaces) Check pets in and out, greet clients, and process payments Answer phones and assist with scheduling and customer inquiries Follow detailed care instructions for each pet Facilitate potty breaks and structured playtime for boarding dogs Observe, redirect, and manage dog behavior to maintain a safe group environment Use kennel management software and basic computer systems What We're Looking For Strong understanding of dog behavior and off-leash play dynamics Experience working with dogs (professional experience preferred) Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Patient, calm, and compassionate with animals Detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities Comfortable with cleaning, disinfecting, and handling pet waste Willingness to learn and take direction Clear communication skills (with both team members and clients) Comfortable using computers, phones, and payment systems Requirements Must be 18 years or older High school diploma or GED Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation Schedule Requirements (Mandatory) Friday through Monday 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM Please do not apply if you are unavailable for these shifts. Work Environment Fast-paced, physically active role Regular cleaning and sanitizing procedures in place Daily hands-on interaction with dogs and cats Yes—spending time petting and caring for dogs is part of the job!
