Kennel Assistant We are seeking a dependable and animal-loving Kennel Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with dogs and a commitment to providing exceptional care in a safe, clean, and positive environment. As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and comfort of pets staying at our facility. This position requires hands-on animal care, attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a strong work ethic. We offer a flexible schedule and weekly pay. Duties & Responsibilities Provide daily care for boarding and daycare dogs, including feeding, watering, and monitoring overall health and well-being. Clean and sanitize kennels, play yards, and common areas throughout the day. Supervise dogs during group play and individual activities while ensuring safe interactions. Monitor pets for signs of stress, illness, injury, or behavioral concerns and report observations promptly. Administer medications as directed and trained. Assist with check-in and check-out procedures and communicate professionally with pet owners. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming facility environment. Follow all safety protocols and animal handling procedures. Assist with bathing dogs and other basic pet care services as needed. Support overall facility operations and work collaboratively with team members to provide outstanding pet care. Light laundry is required Experience & Qualifications Previous experience working with animals is preferred but not required. Experience in a kennel, pet daycare, boarding facility, veterinary clinic, pet sitting, or animal rescue environment is a plus. Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. Ability to remain calm and confident in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Excellent reliability, punctuality, and attendance. Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday. Availability to work rotating weekends and holidays as needed.
