Job Description
Countryside Veterinary Hospital, located in Toney, Alabama, is a full-service facility offering veterinary care, daycare, boarding, and grooming services. Our facility is supported by a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional care to both our patients and clients. We pride ourselves on creating a positive, supportive, and engaging work environment. We are currently seeking a full-time Pet Care Attendant to join our kennel team. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily care of boarding dogs and cats, ensuring they receive proper exercise, socialization, and attention. Responsibilities also include bathing animals, maintaining a clean and sanitary kennel environment, and assisting with general cleaning throughout the hospital. This position also involves regular interaction with clients, providing excellent customer service. Schedule requirements include working every other Saturday morning and participating in a rotating full weekend schedule every several weeks. The starting pay rate for candidates without prior experience is $12.00 per hour. Qualified candidates should demonstrate the following: A genuine passion for animal care, particularly dogs and cats. Hands-on experience handling dogs in a professional setting such as boarding, daycare, veterinary assistance, or training environments. Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor when interacting with clients. A positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. A commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and engaging environment for all animals in our care. Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic. Willingness to follow a standard dress code.
