Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and the skills necessary to provide high-quality grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of pets while delivering exceptional grooming experiences. This role requires a combination of technical grooming skills and a compassionate approach to animal care. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and cats. Assess the condition of each pet's coat and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques. Handle pets with care and ensure their comfort throughout the grooming process. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area, including tools and equipment. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and any health concerns observed during grooming. Provide additional services such as ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and de-shedding as needed. Stay updated on grooming trends, techniques, and breed-specific styles to enhance service offerings. Experience Previous experience in pet grooming is preferred. Skills in dog handling, animal restraint, and general pet care are essential. Familiarity with dog training or veterinary practices is a plus. Experience in kennel environments or pet sitting can be beneficial. A strong understanding of animal behavior and comfort with various breeds is highly valued.
