Job Description

Schedule:
  • Weekends and holidays are
REQUIRED.
Duties:
  • Provide daily care and supervision for animals in the kennel
  • Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, and common areas
  • Feed and water animals according to their specific dietary needs
  • Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff
  • Exercise animals to ensure their physical and mental well-being
  • Monitor animals for any signs of illness or distress and report any concerns to the veterinary staff
  • Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, ear cleaning, and nail trimming
  • Maintain accurate records of animal care, including feeding schedules, medications given, and any observations or concerns
Skills:
  • Animal handling: Ability to safely handle and restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments
  • Dog training: Knowledge of basic dog training techniques to assist with obedience and behavior management
  • Heavy lifting: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, such as bags of food or large dogs, as needed
  • Customer service: Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients and provide exceptional customer service
  • Pet sitting: Experience in pet sitting or caring for animals in a professional setting
  • Pet care: Knowledge of general pet care practices, including feeding, grooming, and exercise requirements
  • Veterinary knowledge: Familiarity with basic veterinary procedures and terminology is a plus Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of duties or skills required for the position.
