Job Description
Job Overview W2 Position Paid Weekly Well Established Salon with great team members! Easy clients who show up. We are a straightforward shop prioritizing safety and quality above all. We hand dry and scissor finish every trim. After 6 months Paid Sharpening up to $250/year Paid Education up to $250/year Paid Time Off based on state accrual policies paid at $16/hr. Call Meghan 602-400-7910 Will not respond to applications without current grooming experience. References and photos preferred. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and cats. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques. Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment by following hygiene protocols and cleaning equipment regularly. Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and provide recommendations based on the pet's needs. Handle animals safely using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure their comfort during grooming sessions. Provide basic pet care services, including feeding, walking, or administering medication as needed. Build strong relationships with clients through excellent customer service and follow-up communication regarding their pets' grooming needs. Provide support throughout the shop whether it be cleaning kennels or answering the phones. Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming at least 2 years. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners. Knowledge of animal care practices, including proper handling techniques and basic first aid for pets. Ability to lift heavy animals safely and comfortably when necessary. A genuine love for animals combined with patience and compassion in handling them.
