Experienced Dog Groomer

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team at Hassayampa Canine Resort. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a strong commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring that pets look their best while also maintaining their health and well-being. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle various breeds and temperaments of animals. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs and cats. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques. Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their pets' grooming needs and any observed health concerns. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use. Handle pets safely and effectively, utilizing proper animal restraint techniques. Stay updated on the latest grooming trends, techniques, and products to provide the best service possible. Assist in managing appointments and scheduling grooming sessions for clients. Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming or a related field such as pet care or animal care is preferred. Knowledge of dog handling, animal restraint, and basic veterinary assistant skills is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners. Experience in dog training or kennel management is a plus. Ability to work with various breeds of dogs and cats, understanding their unique needs. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods during grooming sessions.
