Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and experienced Pet Sitter to provide exceptional care for a variety of animals, ensuring their safety, comfort, and happiness. As an integral part of our pet care team, you will handle everything from daily walks and feeding to administering basic veterinary care and training. Your energetic approach and animal handling expertise will create a positive environment for pets and peace of mind for their owners. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals while showcasing your pet care skills. You have the opportunity to build your own book of business within Copper Spur Canine Co. Appointments are booked for you with 20% of the booking fee withheld. All other earnings including 100% of tips are the kept by the sitter. Duties Provide attentive pet sitting services, including feeding, walking, administering medication, and engaging pets in stimulating activities Handle animal restraint safely during grooming, veterinary visits, or training sessions Perform dog training exercises to reinforce good behavior and obedience Assist with pet grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming Monitor animals' health and behavior, reporting any concerns or veterinary needs promptly Manage heavy lifting when necessary for transporting animals or supplies Maintain a clean and safe environment by cleaning cages, bedding, and common areas regularly Offer exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs and well-being Experience Proven experience in pet sitting or animal care roles with a focus on dogs and cats Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is highly desirable Strong animal handling skills, including dog training and animal restraint techniques Background in veterinary experience or veterinary technician work preferred Familiarity with kennel management or animal shelter operations is a plus Experience with equine care is beneficial but not required Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged periods of activity Excellent customer service skills to build trust with pet owners and address their concerns confidently High School diploma required Must pass clean background check + drug test Flexible schedule (weekend and holiday availability required) WFH employment status preferred for applicants with current employment who plan to keep working full/part time Join us to bring your love for animals into a rewarding career that emphasizes energetic engagement, detailed care, and professional growth. $35.00 - $150.00 per day
