Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead store operations, manage staff, and enhance customer satisfaction in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of retail sales, inventory control, and team leadership. Prior assistant manager experience is preferred, along with proficiency in various retail management functions such as POS systems, merchandising, and budgeting. Duties Oversee daily store operations ensuring smooth and efficient functioning Lead and supervise sales associates and staff, providing training & development to foster a high-performance team Manage inventory levels through effective stock control, purchasing, and merchandising strategies Handle customer service inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure a positive shopping experience Conduct employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and onboarding processes Manage payroll processing, cash handling, and cashiering duties with accuracy Implement sales strategies including pricing, marketing initiatives, and promotional activities Maintain store appearance through stocking, merchandising, and organizing product displays Supervise shift management to ensure proper staffing levels during operating hours Utilize organizational skills to coordinate store activities and meet sales targets Apply retail math for inventory valuation, sales analysis, and budgeting purposes Uphold store policies on phone etiquette and communication standards Qualifications Proven management experience in retail settings; assistant manager experience is highly desirable Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus Proficiency in POS systems, retail math, inventory management software, and bookkeeping tools Experience in retail sales, merchandising, stock management, and customer service excellence Skilled in negotiation, marketing strategies, pricing policies, and sales management techniques Ability to handle cash handling procedures accurately and responsibly Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and administrative tasks Knowledge of payroll processing and employee orientation procedures Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment Organizational skills combined with leadership qualities necessary for shift management and team supervision This position provides an excellent platform for career growth within the retail industry for candidates who are proactive leaders with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
