Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care and attention to animals in the kennel facility
- Feed, water, and exercise animals according to their individual needs
- Clean and sanitize kennel areas, including cages, bedding, and common areas
- Monitor the health and well-being of animals and report any concerns to the supervisor
- Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
- Administer medications or treatments as directed by staff
- Maintain accurate records of animal care and behavior
Requirements:
- Previous experience in pet care, animal handling, or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of animal behavior and basic training techniques
- Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments safely and confidently
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and other teamates
- Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting heavy animals or cleaning kennel areas
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
