The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and experience in pet grooming, animal handling, and customer service. This role involves providing high-quality grooming services to pets, ensuring their safety and comfort, and delivering exceptional care to our clients. The Pet Stylist will play a vital role in maintaining the health and appearance of pets while creating a positive experience for both animals and their owners. Duties Grooming pets with precision, including bathing, trimming, brushing, and styling according to breed standards or customer preferences Handling animals safely using proper restraint techniques to ensure their comfort and safety during grooming procedures Providing exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming needs and care instructions Assisting with pet care routines such as feeding, medication administration, or light veterinary assistance as needed Maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment, including grooming tools and work stations Managing heavy lifting when necessary for handling larger animals or equipment Recognizing signs of distress or health issues in animals and reporting concerns to veterinary professionals when appropriate Supporting team members with kennel duties or animal care tasks as required Qualifications Prior experience in pet grooming, animal handling, or kennel work is preferred Knowledge of dog training, veterinary procedures, or veterinary technician/assistant experience is a plus Strong animal handling skills with the ability to restrain animals safely and compassionately Experience working with various animals including dogs, cats, and possibly equine species Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with animal care and grooming routines Familiarity with pet sitting or pet care services is advantageous A genuine love for animals combined with patience, attention to detail, and professionalism This position offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment dedicated to animal well-being while developing your skills in pet grooming and animal care.
