We're looking for a motivated, reliable team member who loves animals and wants to learn the grooming trade from a certified groomer in a supportive, hands‑on environment. About the Role As a Dog Bather/Grooming Assistant, you'll help ensure every pet receives safe, gentle, high‑quality care. This is an entry‑level position with full training provided , including safe handling, skin and coat science, proper bathing techniques, and nail care. This role is perfect for someone who wants to grow into a professional groomer. Responsibilities Bathe and dry dogs of all breeds and sizes (some over 100 lbs) Perform nail trims and ear cleaning Assist the groomer with safe handling as needed Answer client calls and questions with a friendly, professional attitude Maintain cleanliness of the salon throughout the day Provide excellent customer service to pet parents (No gland expression or hair trimming until Phase Two training) Requirements No experience required (highly preferred for entry‑level candidates) Must be 18 or older Comfortable working with all dog breeds, sizes, and temperaments Hard‑working, punctual, and dependable Reliable transportation Passionate about animals and providing quality care Customer service experience is a plus Confident speaking with clients and answering phones Interested in learning grooming as a long‑term career What We Provide Beginner grooming tool kit Uniform (if applicable) Hourly wage + tips Hands‑on training from a certified groomer Education in safe handling, skin/coat health, proper bathing, and nail care Opportunities to advance into a commission‑based groomer role Growth Path This position is designed to help you build the skills needed to become a full groomer.
