Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for dogs in our daycare facility. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and experience in animal care, ensuring that each dog receives the attention and care they deserve while their owners are away. Responsibilities Supervise and engage with dogs in playgroups to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. Monitor dog behavior and intervene as necessary to prevent conflicts or injuries. Provide basic training and commands to dogs as needed to promote good behavior. Maintain cleanliness of the daycare facility, including kennels, play areas, and equipment. Administer medications or treatments as directed by pet owners or veterinarians. Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior and needs. Ensure the safety of all animals in your care through proper handling and restraint techniques. Perform heavy lifting when necessary, including moving supplies or assisting with larger dogs. Qualifications Previous experience in dog handling or animal care is preferred. Knowledge of dog training techniques is a plus. Experience as a veterinary technician, veterinary assistant, or in a kennel environment is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners. Ability to perform animal restraint safely and effectively. Familiarity with pet grooming practices is beneficial A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential.
