Duties Safely handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments during grooming, bathing, and drying procedures Perform pet grooming tasks including brushing, trimming, nail clipping, ear cleaning, and styling according to breed standards or owner requests Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming stations, tools, and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment Monitor pets during grooming for signs of distress or health issues and communicate concerns promptly Assist with pet restraint techniques to ensure safety for animals and staff during grooming sessions Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about grooming needs and aftercare instructions Support team members with kennel cleaning, pet care, and other animal handling duties as needed Requirements Prior experience in pet grooming, dog handling, or animal care is highly preferred Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience is a plus for understanding animal behavior and health considerations Strong animal handling skills with the ability to safely restrain pets during grooming procedures Experience working as a veterinary technician or veterinary assistant is advantageous for recognizing health issues Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to move animals or equipment safely Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Willingness to learn new grooming techniques and stay current on best practices in pet care This role is perfect for motivated individuals who love animals and thrive in energetic environments.
