Pet Groomer Job Overview:

We are Shurcut Pet Parlour grooming shop located at Monrovia, CA and we are seeking a dedicated Pet Groomer to join our team. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing professional grooming services to various pets, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their appearance. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle pets with care and compassion. Wednesday

• Saturday 8 am
• 3 or 4 pm

Responsibilities:

• Perform grooming services such as bathing, brushing, haircuts, nail trimming, and ear cleaning on different types of pets.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of pets during grooming procedures.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their specific grooming requests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area.
• Monitor pets for any health issues or abnormalities and report them to the appropriate staff.
• Handle animals with care and compassion while maintaining control and using proper restraint techniques.
• Assist veterinary technicians with handling animals when necessary.
• Lift heavy pets or equipment as needed.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience in pet grooming and animal care.
• Ability to speak and understand Korean is preferred but not required
• Strong knowledge of various grooming techniques for different breeds of dogs and cats.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with pet owners.
• Ability to handle animals with patience, empathy, and respect.
• Proficient in animal restraint techniques to ensure safety during grooming procedures.
• Physical ability to lift heavy pets or equipment when required.
• Previous experience as a veterinary technician is advantageous.
