Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs Handle dogs safely and confidently, using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and safety for both pets and staff Assess each dog's health and behavior to determine appropriate grooming procedures and identify any signs of health issues or discomfort Maintain a clean, organized grooming station by sanitizing tools and work areas regularly Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming preferences, special needs, and aftercare instructions Assist with pet handling during appointments, ensuring gentle yet firm control throughout the grooming process Support additional pet care tasks such as feeding, basic veterinary assistance, or kennel duties as needed Skills Strong animal handling skills with experience in dog training and pet grooming techniques Knowledge of veterinary procedures or veterinary technician experience is a plus for understanding pet health signals Ability to perform pet care tasks including pet sitting, animal restraint, and heavy lifting when necessary Excellent customer service skills to build trust with pet owners and address their concerns professionally Familiarity with animal care environments such as kennels or veterinary clinics enhances your versatility in this role Basic understanding of pet behavior management to ensure safe grooming sessions Passion for animals combined with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments where animal welfare is at the forefront.
