- Grooming Tuition support Job Functions Always prioritize the well-being and safety of every animal in your care, monitor pets for any signs of discomfort, illness, or injury, and promptly report any concerns to pet owners and company management.
Evaluate individual needs of each pet, taking into consideration coat type, skin conditions, temperament Maintain a clean and safe grooming area, disinfect, and sanitize grooming tools and equipment, perform daily and weekly cleaning duties in the van and in adherence to company and industry hygiene and sanitation policies, other cleaning and maintenance tasks as assigned, including but not limited to cleaning air filters, vents, and drains Under minimal supervision, perform professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning, according to pet parent's instructions and adhering to breed standards and company policies and procedures Operate and maintain various grooming instruments, including clippers, blades, shears, brushes, and dryers Interact professionally and effectively with pet parents, provide optimal customer service, address grooming related inquiries, offer grooming recommendations, and provide timely resolutions to questions or concerns Educate and provide custom recommendations to pet parents on grooming maintenance and at home care practices & products to promote the overall well-being of the pet Utilize knowledge and understanding of company grooming policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure safety, quality, and consistency in all activities and areas of the grooming business, ensure standards are maintained in grooming environment May need to train, support, and supervise entry-level trainees Be comfortable with fueling and minor vehicle needs on mobile grooming van Responsibilities
- Operate mobile pet grooming van with utmost professionalism
- Provide professional recommendations for pet services and care
- Communicate effectively with pet parents
- Exhibit best in class pet handling skills
- Provide options for additional services to maximize pet care each visit
- Manage personal schedule in central scheduling software
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures for yourself and our pet customers
- Lift/Push/Pull up to 50 pounds regularly
- Stand for periods up to 4 hours while grooming Qualifications
- Must love pets
- Previous grooming experience needed
- Have a passion for being the best in your field
- Exhibit professional pet handling skills
- Have a clean driving record
- Be able to work independently without supervision
- Be Self managing and motivating
- Have great communication skills for discussing pet needs with pet parents
- Must be very reliable
- Excellent customer service skills
- High school or equivalent education
- Desire to continue education in the pet field
