Job Description
Small San Diego dog walking company is currently hiring responsible and mature animal lovers who have the ability to self-manage to join our growing team. If you are dedicated to providing excellent pet care we'd love to hear from you! This is a dog walking/pet sitting position for someone meeting the qualifications below. Candidate MUST be available for midday dog walking from 11am-3pm Monday through Friday. A plus for availability for morning and evening visits and/or overnight stays in client homes. Midday availability is also needed for overnight stays so pets aren't alone all day. Candidate must live in the central areas of San Diego (Normal Heights, North Park, Hillcrest, Mission Hills, University Heights, Talmadge, Del Cerro)
Requirements:
- Experience in pet sitting and/or owning pets
- Understanding of animal behavior
- Must be available M-F between 11am-3pm for dog walking clients
- A plus if available for morning and evening pet sitting visits and overnight pet sitting including weekends
- Must live in Mission Valley, North Park, Hillcrest, Mission Hills, University Heights, Talmadge, Normal Heights, Del Cerro
- Be able to walk for a few hours a day off and on
- Own a reliable, insured car
- Be extremely reliable
- Be willing have a criminal background check run
- Be professional and dependable
- Have a smart phone with data plan and have a quick response time to text/email communications
- Be organized and work well independently
- A plus if you have Pet CPR/First Aid Certification
