Dog Daycare Attendant

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated part-time 2-3 days/week Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with dogs, understand their body language, knows how to resolve issues when dogs have different dynamics and de-escalate the situation, with the ability to work effectively with dogs of all breeds and temperaments. Our dog-trainer will also provide training to you as a dog handler using positive reinforcement methods working in our facility. This position is eligible to earn tips. This role involves hands-on working with the dogs under our care. You will be keeping the dogs in a safe environment at all times, giving them your full attention, engaging them in fun activities when it is playtime, monitoring them when it is time for a break, and taking them out for a walk nearby. There will be plenty of cleaning involved. There will be accidents to clean up. There will be daily general cleaning to maintain the cleanliness of the areas. There will be laundry duties (towels and mats) and cleaning of the dog bathing stations. There will be feeding and washing everything used to dispense treats and meals. You will be the liason for BFF Dogs and the dog parents. You need to have excellent communication skills, friendly and great customer service skills, be very detailed in setting up appointments using our Square system and answering the phone for setting up grooming appointments. The #1 job is ensuring the well-being of the dogs in our care. Responsibilities Communicate effectively and in a supportive manner with your team. Maintain a safe and clean environment for both dogs and staff. Provide positive reinforcement when working with the dogs under our care. Engage in customer service by communicating effectively with clients about their dog's activities and any concerns that may arise. Experience Proven experience in dog daycare is highly desired. Familiarity with various positive reinforcement dog handling techniques. Experience in dog bathing will be considered an asset. Strong customer service skills are necessary for effective communication with clients regarding their dogs' needs. Note:

If you are available to work the occasional shift that ends at approximately 9pm on mostly Fridays/Saturdays/Sundays for: 1. Cleaning the facility 2. Monitoring, feeding, and walking our dogs who are boarding, please state if that is the position you are interested in. This shift does not earn tips, and it is the lower range of the hourly pay.
