Job Description

•Must be at least 18 years old, available to work holidays, and available to work at least one weekend day•Dog Groomer Join a fun, supportive team where groomers are valued, encouraged to learn new skills, and deliver exceptional pet care. We pride ourselves on communication, teamwork, and creating a positive experience for pets and their owners. What You will Do Provide full grooming services (baths, blow-dry, brush-outs, haircuts, nail trims, etc.) Follow breed standards or client requests for styling. Manage dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments safely and kindly. Observe health and behavior and communicate concerns (skin, coat, behavior, parasites, etc.). Demonstrate initiative by seeking out grooming opportunities from existing guests and recommend services that support pet comfort, hygiene, and client satisfaction. Meet & greet your clients daily, to level set grooming requests, expectations, and make recommendations. Deliver outstanding customer service and build client relationships. Maintain clean work areas and proper sanitation procedures. Use grooming equipment safely and follow company policies. Accurately track appointments, notes, and services in our system. Mentor bathers and support other departments as needed. Monitor booking calendar for accuracy. Complete confirmation calls to your clients, to ensure excellent client communication and expectations. Performance Expectations Efficient, quality work. Can groom a minimum of 4 pets per shift, to include a mix of sizes/weights. Complete baths in 30-60 mins depending on size (approx. 30 min small dog / 45 min medium / 60 min large). Follow safety protocols. Keep grooming spaces clean and stocked. Provide friendly, professional customer service. Ability to upsell services and educate clients on pet care. What We're Looking For 1+ year professional grooming experience (required) Genuine love for dogs. Effective communication and customer service skills. Ability to grow the business by walking the hotel, identifying guests who are there for Boarding & Daycare and would benefit from grooming services, proactively reaching out to those pet parents, and educating them on which services would best support their pet's needs. Actively participate in grooming check-ins and check-outs to strengthen client relationships, provide personalized service, and maintain a stable, growing re-book rate. Team-oriented, positive attitude. Reliable, responsible, and able to work weekends/holidays, morning/evenings. Comfortable handling dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments Physical Requirements Lift up to 50 lbs. Stand for extended periods, bend, reach, and manage active dogs. Pay & Benefits $50,000-$70,000+ per year Tips + production share 60% of grooming revenue that exceeds minimum wage per week for the two-week pay period 30% of paid bathing services revenue that exceeds minimum wage per week for the two-week pay period Guaranteed hourly pay (never below minimum wage) First 60 days will be a flat hourly pay rate without production share while you transition to Wag and build your clientele 401(k) after 90 days Sick time Free pet daycare after 30 days Free boarding (non-peak), plus service & retail discounts Grooming tools provided if needed + $50/month tool reimbursement Schedule 8-hour shifts Weekdays + weekends/holidays as needed.
