Your expertise in animal handling and grooming will contribute to a positive experience for both pets and their owners. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment dedicated to animal well-being and customer satisfaction. Duties Safely handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments during bathing, grooming, and drying processes Perform pet grooming tasks including brushing, trimming, nail clipping, ear cleaning, and coat maintenance Ensure proper animal restraint techniques are used to keep pets calm and secure during procedures Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations, tools, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards Assist with pet care routines such as feeding, walking, or administering basic veterinary care when needed Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming preferences and pet behavior Support additional kennel or animal handling duties as required to ensure overall animal comfort and safety Skills Strong knowledge of dog handling techniques and pet grooming practices Experience with veterinary procedures or veterinary technician/assistant roles is highly desirable Familiarity with animal restraint methods and pet care routines Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or heavy dogs Excellent customer service skills to engage with pet owners professionally and warmly Animal handling experience across various species is a plus, including equine or other small animals Basic pet training skills to assist in behavioral management during grooming sessions This role is perfect for passionate animal lovers eager to develop their skills in pet grooming, animal care, and customer service.
