In this energetic role, you will provide professional grooming services that enhance the health, hygiene, and appearance of our furry clients. Your expertise will help ensure every pet leaves feeling happy, comfortable, and looking their best. This position offers a dynamic environment where your skills in pet grooming, animal handling, and customer service will shine, making a positive impact on pets and their owners alike. Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping tailored to each pet's breed and individual needs Handle animals with care and confidence, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the grooming process Assist with pet handling techniques such as animal restraint to facilitate safe grooming sessions Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, including sanitizing tools and equipment after each use Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand specific grooming preferences and provide expert advice on pet care routines Monitor pets' health during grooming for signs of skin issues or discomfort and report concerns to veterinary staff when necessary Support additional animal care duties such as kennel cleaning or assisting veterinary technicians if needed Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming or related animal care roles, with a strong emphasis on dog handling and pet grooming techniques Knowledge of dog training methods and veterinary experience is highly desirable to ensure safe handling of diverse animals Familiarity with animal restraint procedures, pet care best practices, and kennel management Ability to lift heavy objects (heavy lifting) such as large dogs or equipment safely and efficiently Excellent customer service skills to build rapport with pet owners and address their concerns confidently Background in veterinary technician or assistant roles, equine experience or general animal handling is a plus for versatility Strong communication skills combined with a positive attitude and a passion for animals Join us in creating a joyful experience for pets and their owners!
