The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the skills necessary to provide high-quality bathing and grooming services for pets. As a Pet Bather, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our furry clients leave looking and feeling their best. This position requires a love for animals, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Bathe and groom pets according to established standards and protocols. Ensure the safety and comfort of animals during the bathing process. Handle pets with care, employing proper animal restraint techniques as needed. Maintain cleanliness in the bathing area, including washing towels, cleaning equipment, and sanitizing surfaces. Monitor pets for any signs of health issues or discomfort during grooming sessions. Assist in drying and brushing pets after baths to achieve desired results. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pet's grooming needs and any observations made during the bathing process. Collaborate with other team members to ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Requirements Previous experience in animal care or handling is preferred, including roles such as kennel assistant, veterinary assistant, or veterinary technician. Strong knowledge of pet grooming techniques and animal behavior is advantageous. Ability to handle various breeds of dogs and other animals with confidence. Excellent communication skills to interact with pet owners and team members effectively. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift pets as needed. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential. Certification in pet grooming or related fields is a plus but not required.
