Professional Dog Groomer

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and grooming, with the ability to provide exceptional service to both pets and their owners. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for maintaining the health and appearance of pets while ensuring their comfort and safety during grooming sessions. Pay depends on experience and skill level. Receive hourly plus commission and tips. Call for an interview after applying. Responsibilities Provide grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and other pets. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques. Handle animals safely and compassionately, using proper restraint techniques as needed. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs, grooming styles, and any health concerns observed during grooming sessions. Provide additional services such as pet sitting or dog training as required by clients. Collaborate with veterinary staff when necessary to address any medical issues or special care needs of the animals. Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming or related fields such as veterinary technician or assistant experience is preferred. Strong skills in animal handling, dog training, and animal restraint techniques. Familiarity with various breeds and their specific grooming requirements is highly desirable. Ability to lift heavy animals safely as part of the grooming process. Excellent customer service skills to build rapport with pet owners and ensure satisfaction. Previous experience in kennel settings or pet care environments is a plus. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential for success in this role.
