About Us:
At Happy Tails Dog Ranch, our team is passionate about dogs and dedicated to providing the highest level of care. We employ up to 20 team members who value punctuality, teamwork, and a strong work ethic. Our team of hardworking dog enthusiasts understand the importance of communication and customer relations. We are situated on a beautiful 22 acre property with numerous, huge, outdoor play yards, that connect our Main Overnight Boarding Facility and our Doggy Daycare Clubhouse Facility. Our team oversees over 90 dogs per day. We are currently interviewing to fill 1 Full Time and 1 Part Time, year round position: Full Time (30-40 hours per week) Part Time ( 20-30 hours per week) !!! Flexibility in scheduling is crucial. !!! This role includes working some weekends and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage playgroups of 10-15 dogs in our large, outdoor play yards. Maintain strict and thorough daily cleaning and sanitation protocols. Perform daily feeding, medication dispensation, and basic grooming tasks. Handle customer arrival and departure procedures professionally. Engage in taking photos/videos for our doggy guests for client report cards. Deliver exceptional customer service in a busy and ever changing setting. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and clear communications. Must be able to perform physical movements like walking, running, jumping, squatting etc Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions Attention to detail and strong communication skills are a must Must be able to react quickly and calmly in stressful situations
What You Bring:
1 year of dog daycare/boarding experience (preferred, but not required) Robust work ethic and impeccable punctuality. (required) Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. (required) A love for both dogs and humans. (required) Certified dog training, Vet Tech, or Vet Assistant experience is a plus. A high school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license and consistent/reliable transportation. (required)
Essential Skills:
Stand/walk for extended periods.

  • We do take breaks, but we also work hard Anticipate tasks and execute without prompting.

  • We value our customers and their pets Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Communicating with all team members is necessary. Have a positive, solutions based attitude
  • Complaining without offering solutions is unproductive Be able to walk, run, jump, squat, bend, reach, twist, push, pull and lift
  • Cuddling puppies is not all we do. Have reliable transportation for all seasons
  • Our doggie guests depend on us being on time and at work, even when it is snowing. Quickly and calmly react to unforeseen situations and all types of canine behaviors
  • Must be able to handle stressful situations without hesitation.
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly rate for this position will range between $17
  • $20 inclusive of tips.
