We're seeking a dedicated, dog-loving team member to help us create safe, joyful, and well-run spaces for the dogs in our care and the clients we serve. This role blends hands-on animal care with customer service and retail, offering variety and responsibility. From running playgroups in our co-mingled yards to helping a new pet owner find the perfect product, you'll have a direct hand in delivering the Mountain Dogs experience.
What You'll Do:
Animal Care & Kennel Responsibilities Manage, Supervise, and interact with dogs in our co-mingled play yards, maintaining safety and positive pack behavior Perform daily cleaning, sanitizing, and maintenance of kennel areas to exceed PACFA standards Feed dogs according to individualized instructions, and administer routine medications with care and precision Customer Service & Retail Welcome and assist clients, both in-person and by phone, with warmth and professionalism Schedule services and manage appointments using Paw Partner software Guide customers in selecting retail items, including food, treats, toys, and supplements Operate our Square point-of-sale system with accuracy and integrity Maintain a clean, stocked, and inviting retail space

What You Should Know:
Working in a kennel means getting your hands dirty—cleaning, managing high-energy dogs, and moving quickly through physical tasks. The dogs don't always read the schedule—noise, messes, and unexpected situations are part of the job. We rely on team members who are

Qualifications:
Prior experience with dogs, retail, or customer service is a plus—but we're willing to train the right person Excellent communication skills and a friendly, helpful attitude Physically capable of standing, bending, lifting up to 40 lbs, and being on your feet for extended periods Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and energy levels Must be at least 18 years old Must have OPEN weekend availability and the ability to assist with night let outs
Job Type:
Part-time Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Benefits:
Employee discount Flexible schedule Application Question(s): Do you have open weekend availability? Can you assist with 30 minute let outs sometime between 9pm and 11pm? Monday-Friday.
