ANIMAL LOVERS NEEDED!

Do you love animals, especially dogs and cats and are devoted to their well being? Do you love working outdoors and working independently? We are an established Dog Walking and Pet Sitting company in business since 2003. We are seeking a genuine dog lover to join our company as a Dog Walker and Pet Sitter! Y ou will be classified as an Independent Contractor (IC). Although not required, we prefer that you have had experience with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Must be able to walk for long periods of time in all weather conditions and be capable of handling large, strong dogs. You would drive within a 5 mile radius to care for pets of all types in the client's home on a per visit basis. You must live in or near the following zip codes: 80202, 80203, 80204, 80205, 80206, 80207, 80209, 80210 80211, 80212, 80216, 80218, 80222, 80223, 80224, 80230, 80238, 80246, 80247. This is flexible based on special circumstances. The Dog Walker will spend quality time while walking one or more dogs in the client's neighborhood or at a local park for 30 or 45 minutes. You must be available M-F between 10-3pm (this is flexible as you will only be on duty approx. 4 hours or less during this time frame). This position pays between $17•$19 per 30 min walk. The position would require between 2-5 walks per day M-F (this is flexible). In addition, the dog walker must be available for occasional client meet-and-greets in the evenings between 3pm•6pm on an as needed basis. On an as needed basis, the Dog Walker can sign up for Pet Sitting for Overnight stays in the clients home. This pay starts at $70 per night. There is also availability for Pet Sitting Drop In visits. This entails the Pet Sitter to make three 30 minute visits (am, mid, pm) in the clients home. Pet Sitting requires the Sitter to feed pets, administer medication, walk dogs, house care (to potentially include bringing in mail, taking out trash, scooping kitty litter etc). Drop In Visits pay is $17•$19 per 30 minute visit.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

•1) Absolutely love animals!!! Previous pet care experience is desired but not required. What IS essential is compassion and a commitment to the happiness and well being of animals, as well as a basic understanding of animal behavior and how to interact with dogs and cats 2) Be physically fit for the job•(i.e. walking up to several dogs at a time and potentially dogs up to 100 lbs each for several hours a day in various terrain and weather, getting on the floor to play with kitties or puppies, bending, climbing stairs, lifting up to 25 lbs., etc.) 3) At least 21 years of age (mature adults are strongly encouraged to apply!) 4) Have an extremely reliable vehicle (no exceptions) and a valid driver's license 5) Have or be willing to obtain a smart cell phone with text, internet and voicemail capabilities 6) Be honest, trustworthy, reliable, professional, and utterly responsible (and fun to work with!) 7) Have common sense and integrity 8) Be detail oriented, able to follow directions and organized 9) Must be able to use good judgment in personal safety and in pet and home care 10) Be self motivated and work well independently as well as with team members 11) Have good communication skills•written and verbal 12) The clients and pets form bonds with their Pet Sitter or Dog Walker so you must be willing to have the intent to commit to the position for longer term (preferably 6 months or longer) If this sounds like the perfect position for you, please send an email to or reply to the Job Ad on Indeed.
