As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering exceptional grooming experiences for both pets and their owners. This role requires strong animal handling skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Provide grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention. Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment by regularly sanitizing tools and equipment. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs and recommendations. Handle animals safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process. Assist with managing appointments and scheduling as needed. Stay updated on grooming trends, techniques, and best practices to enhance service quality. Skills Proficient in pet grooming techniques for various breeds. Strong animal handling skills with experience in caring for different types of pets. Knowledge of animal behavior to ensure safe interactions during grooming sessions. Experience in pet sitting or dog training is a plus. Background as a veterinary technician or in veterinary care is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger animals or equipment. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners. A compassionate attitude towards animals, demonstrating patience and understanding.
