(203) 632-9409. barkandsouldogtraining@gmail.com Job Description Bark & Soul Dog is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and dog-savvy individual to join our team as a Kennel Attendant & Social Attendant . This position involves hands-on care of dogs in both our day stay program and overnight boarding , as well as supervising structured social play. This is a fast-paced, physical role ideal for someone who is passionate about working with dogs and thrives in an active environment. Key Responsibilities Provide daily care for dogs in day stay and overnight boarding Feed, water, and administer medications as needed Clean and disinfect kennels, crates, treadmills, and indoor/outdoor areas Supervise structured social play groups and ensure safe interactions Monitor dogs for any signs of illness, stress, or behavioral concerns Exercise dogs through play and treadmill sessions Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment Social Attendant Duties Supervise playgroups and ensure safe, controlled social interactions Monitor and manage play behavior and energy levels Address behavioral issues appropriately and promptly Maintain cleanliness of play areas (including waste removal) Communicate professionally with team members and pet owners Requirements Must be 18 years or older Experience with dogs and dog handling required Previous kennel or animal care experience preferred Understanding of dog body language and behavior Experience with social playgroups is a plus Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience with feeding routines and administering medication preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Additional Skills & Expectations Comfortable working with dogs of all sizes and breeds Reliable and punctual for scheduled shifts Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Physically capable of handling labor-intensive tasks Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow Patient and able to remain calm under pressure Professional and courteous with clients and team members
Pay:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
