Dog Groomer

Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dog Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care, excellent grooming skills, and experience handling dogs of various breeds and temperaments. This role involves providing professional grooming services, ensuring the comfort and safety of each pet, and delivering exceptional customer service to pet owners. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping for dogs of all sizes and breeds Handle animals gently and confidently, ensuring their safety and comfort during grooming procedures Restrain animals appropriately using animal restraint techniques to facilitate grooming tasks Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools and work area in compliance with health standards Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs, preferences, and aftercare instructions Assist with pet care routines such as feeding, walking, or administering medication as needed Monitor animals for signs of stress or health issues during grooming sessions and report concerns to veterinary staff if necessary Maintain detailed records of grooming services provided and any special instructions or notes for each pet Experience Prior pet grooming experience is preferred, including knowledge of dog handling techniques and pet grooming tools Background in animal handling, pet sitting, or kennel work is beneficial Familiarity with pet care practices such as animal restraint, and heavy lifting Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Demonstrated ability to handle animals safely and compassionately in a fast-paced environment This position provides an opportunity to combine your love for animals with professional grooming expertise in a supportive setting dedicated to animal well-being.

Pay:

$65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
