Job Description
Service Area:
Minneola, Clermont, East Clermont, Oakland, and nearby Lake County areasLocation Requirement:
Candidates must live within approximately 20 to 25 minutes of Minneola to be considered. Join the Pink Pack At Pawsitively Pink Pet Services, every paw has a tale. Some pets are bouncy, joyful, and ready for a sniffari the second you walk through the door. Some are shy, senior, anxious, opinionated, or still deciding whether you are worthy of their trust. Some need a walk. Some need medication. Some need patience. Some need a calm, caring human who notices the little things. That is where our Pink Pack comes in. We provide professional dog walking, in home pet sitting, cat sitting, and specialty pet care designed around each pet's routine, comfort level, and individual needs. Our goal is to give pet parents peace of mind and help pets feel safe, loved, and understood in the place they know best: home. This job can be joyful, funny, heartwarming, and full of tail wags. It can also be muddy, sweaty, detailed, emotional, schedule sensitive, and very real. We are looking for someone who understands both. Because around here, sparkle and skill go paw in paw. Required Availability Please read this section carefully. Our biggest client needs are during morning and weekend care windows, so availability matters. We are prioritizing candidates who have: Several weekday mornings available from 7 AM to 11 AM. At least every other weekend availability. Sunday morning or midday availability. Monday morning availability is a strong plus. Additional availability between 11 AM and 3 PM is a bonus. Some flexibility during holidays and busy travel seasons. Please only apply if you can consistently support several of these availability needs. This role is best for someone who can be dependable during our busiest pet care windows, not someone looking for occasional or very limited shifts. This is a part time supplemental income position. It is not a full time role and does not offer guaranteed full time hours. What You'll Do Your day may include happy sniffs, curious paws, dramatic meows, muddy pawprints, detailed care notes, and dogs who believe every blade of grass deserves a full investigation. You may be responsible for:
Visiting client homes to care for dogs, cats, and other beloved pets. Taking dogs on walks, potty breaks, sniffaris, and fresh air adventures. Following feeding, walking, medication, potty, and home care instructions. Refreshing water, preparing meals, cleaning bowls, scooping litter, and tidying pet spaces. Driving between client homes throughout our service area. Sending warm, professional visit updates and photos through our app. Noticing changes in behavior, appetite, potty habits, energy, comfort level, or routine. Communicating clearly with leadership and the team. Working outdoors in Florida heat, rain, humidity, and surprise weather drama. Occasional overnight pet care may be available for those who are interested. This is hands on care. Pets are family, homes are trusted spaces, and details matter. You Might Be Our Kind of Person If You would rather hang out with the dog than the party guests. You believe every pet has their own personality, quirks, comfort level, and story. You are reliable, punctual, self motivated, and trustworthy. You notice the little things, like a pet acting "off," a water bowl running low, or a leash not clipped quite right. You are kind, patient, and calm with shy, anxious, senior, special needs, or medically complex pets. You can follow instructions exactly, even when the cat is judging you and the dog is doing interpretive dance at the leash hook. You are comfortable working independently in client homes. You communicate clearly and can write thoughtful visit updates. You are steady under pressure and willing to ask for help when needed. You care about doing things the right way, not just the fast way. Professional pet sitting, dog walking, veterinary, boarding, grooming, rescue, kennel, shelter, or dog daycare experience is strongly preferred. We will consider the right person without professional experience, but this role is best suited for someone who truly understands that professional animal care is real work with real responsibility. What Makes This Work Special This is not a basic pet sitting gig. Our team provides thoughtful, safety focused, fear free style care for pets with different routines, needs, personalities, and comfort levels. We care for playful puppies, busy dogs, shy cats, senior pets, anxious pets, medical pets, and pets who need a little extra understanding before they show you their sparkle. You are not just checking a box. You are helping build trust. You are giving pet parents peace of mind. You are leaving little heartprints in the lives of pets and people. And yes, sometimes you are also scooping poop in the rain. Both things can be true. Requirements Reliable vehicle. Valid driver's license. Active car insurance. Smartphone with data. Comfortable driving between visits. Comfortable entering client homes alone and following safety protocols. Must live within approximately 20 to 25 minutes of Minneola. Background check and references required. Must be dependable in all kinds of weather and during busy pet care seasons. Pay and Tips Starting pay is $15 per hour plus tips. We also offer a tip pool. Team members who work more than 10 hours per week receive a minimum tip guarantee of $3.00 per hour. If the tip pool falls short, Pawsitively Pink covers the difference. Tips above that amount are not guaranteed. Training and Support You are not tossed into the field with a leash and a prayer. Pawsitively Pink provides onboarding, app training, safety training, dog body language education, client care expectations, and shadowing before independent visits. Some onboarding training is unpaid and required before paid field work begins. You will be part of a caring, pet savvy team that believes in professionalism, compassion, clear communication, fear free values, and a little sparkle where it belongs. This Role May Be a Good Fit If You Enjoy being active in the morning. Want meaningful supplemental income. Love animals and respect client homes. Like working independently, but still want the support of a team. Can be counted on when the weather is gross, the dog is muddy, or the cat has strong opinions. Want work that feels purposeful, not boring. Understand that pets are family and their care matters deeply.IMPORTANT
