The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal welfare, excellent grooming skills, and experience handling a variety of pets. This role involves providing professional grooming services while ensuring the safety and comfort of each animal. The Pet Groomer will work closely with pet owners and team members to deliver exceptional care and grooming results in a friendly, clean environment. Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and brushing for dogs and other small animals Handle animals with care, ensuring proper animal restraint and safety during grooming procedures Assist with pet handling, including dog training and behavioral management when necessary Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools and work area following sanitation standards Provide pet care advice to owners regarding grooming routines and general animal health Manage customer interactions professionally, addressing questions or concerns about grooming services Assist with pet sitting or kennel duties during busy periods or as required Heavy lifting of animals or equipment may be necessary to ensure safety during grooming procedures Qualifications Prior experience in pet grooming is required; certification is a plus Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience highly desirable Strong animal handling skills, including dog handling, animal restraint, and pet care expertise Experience with veterinary technician or assistant roles is beneficial Familiarity with equine or other animal handling is a plus but not required Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when necessary for animals or equipment Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Driver license.
