Fit & Go Pets is an all-inclusive, concierge dog boarding, daycare, training, and grooming facility in Miami. We are launching a new dog training division and are seeking a seasoned, certified professional dog trainer to become our lead trainer , supporting the development, delivery, and growth of training services for our established clientele. This is a high-impact contractor role ideal for a trainer who wants autonomy, growth opportunity, and the chance to help build something meaningful within a respected, well-run facility. About the Role As the Lead Certified Dog Trainer , you will: Deliver high-quality, humane training services Coach and educate pet parents Support the development and structure of Fit & Go Pets' training programs Serve as the face of training for our clients Collaborate with our internal team to ensure a seamless customer experience This role requires strong training skills, excellent communication, and comfort working directly with dog owners through evaluations, coaching, written updates, and video communication. Training Programs You'll Support You will work across several structured services, including: Play + Train (Daycare Add-On): Short, focused training sessions during daycare Board + Train (Boarding Add-On): Daily training during boarding stays

Real-world practice in social environments Training Evaluations & Client Consultations Client Journey You'll Be Part Of You'll collaborate with our team to support a professional and structured experience: Sales team receives the lead Intro call with trainer is scheduled Trainer explores goals, challenges, and environment Trainer recommends the appropriate service Evaluation or consultation is scheduled Training plan is confirmed and booking finalized Ongoing progress updates, report cards, and follow-ups provided If training is not the right fit, clients may be guided toward educational meet-ups or alternative support options. Key ResponsibilitiesTraining & Behavior Conduct Play + Train, Board + Train, private, virtual, and group sessions Create individualized training plans and measurable goals Teach core skills (recall, leash manners, calm behavior, home skills, etc.) Support puppies with foundation learning and socialization Address behavioral challenges such as fear, reactivity, overstimulation, and impulse control Track progress and adjust training plans as needed Maintain safety-first, humane handling standards at all times Client Education & Communication Coach pet parents so training continues successfully at home Conduct training evaluations and consultations Provide clear, compassionate guidance and realistic expectations Deliver written and/or verbal progress updates and session report cards Record short videos or training highlights for client education when needed Maintain timely communication via internal systems and WhatsApp Collaboration & Facility Support Work closely with daycare, boarding, grooming, and front desk teams Assist with safe handling and dog movement during facility-based training Identify and report stress, illness, or injury Contribute to a positive, professional team culture Requirements Certified Professional Dog Trainer (Certification Required) Proven professional dog training experience Strong foundation in canine learning theory and body language Commitment to positive, humane, safety-first training methods Experience with a wide range of breeds, ages, and behavior types Excellent verbal and written communication skills Comfortable coaching and educating dog owners Comfortable being on camera for short educational or progress videos Fluent in English ( Spanish is a strong plus ) Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Availability for early mornings, weekends, and holidays Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment Who This Role Is Perfect For This role is ideal for a trainer who: Is excited to help launch and grow a training program Enjoys working with both dogs and people Values structure, communication, and accountability Wants flexibility with strong earning potential Is ready to take ownership and be a trusted expert within a thriving pet care facility If you're a certified, experienced dog trainer ready to make an impact and grow with a respected brand, we'd love to hear from you.
