Dog Caretaker and organizer

Job Summary Welcome to A Perfect Puppy Naples We are a establishment that supplies boutique clothing and accessories for dogs and of course selling dogs! We are seeking a dedicated Dog Caretaker and Organizer to join our team in providing exceptional care and attention to our canine residents. This role involves overseeing daily dog care routines, organizing activities, and ensuring a safe, clean, and loving environment for all animals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, strong organizational skills, and experience in pet handling and veterinary-related tasks. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where animal welfare is the top priority. Responsibilities Provide daily care for dogs, including feeding, and administering medication as needed Assist with organizing our store and stocking Handle dogs safely using proper animal restraint techniques Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment Organize and coordinate activities such as playtime, and socialization Monitor dogs for signs of health issues or distress and communicate concerns to veterinary staff Support pet grooming activities including bathing, brushing, and nail trimming Ensure all safety protocols are followed during handling and care procedures Keep detailed records of each dog's health status, behavior notes, and activities Experience Prior experience with pet sitting, kennel work, or animal handling preferred Veterinary technician or assistant experience highly desirable Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures beneficial Experience with pet grooming and animal restraint techniques is a plus Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting dogs or supplies) Compassionate attitude towards animals with excellent attention to detail in care routines Able to take care of 2-40 dogs at once This role is ideal for individuals passionate about animal welfare who thrive in a hands-on environment dedicated to the well-being of dogs.

Pay:

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
