Dog Bather/Brusher

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Dog Bather/Brusher to join our animal care team. This role involves providing professional grooming services to dogs, ensuring their cleanliness, comfort, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, strong handling skills, and experience in pet grooming and animal care. Duties Bathing, brushing, and grooming dogs according to breed standards and customer preferences Handling dogs safely and gently during grooming procedures Restraining animals appropriately to ensure safety for both pets and staff Assisting with pet care routines such as ear cleaning, nail trimming, and coat maintenance Maintaining a clean and organized grooming area and equipment Providing excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about grooming needs and special instructions Monitoring pets for signs of stress or health issues during grooming sessions Heavy lifting of animals or equipment when necessary to facilitate grooming procedures Requirements Prior experience in pet grooming, animal handling, or kennel work is preferred Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience is a plus Experience with veterinary technician or assistant roles, equine handling, or other animal care fields is advantageous Strong animal restraint skills and pet care knowledge required Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately in a fast-paced environment Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for animal or equipment handling Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team Must be comfortable working around animals of all sizes and temperaments This position is ideal for individuals passionate about animal welfare who want to develop their skills in pet grooming and animal care within a professional setting.
