Ranch Hand

Great part time position for someone with experience caring for livestock (ie, horses) but this is not a horse related job. Nonsmoking, nonvaping, drug free location. Background check completed; must have a valid drivers license and own transportation to the job. Required to be on time to work, efficient worker. This job is related to caring for the property including labor. Job description Animal caretaker/Ranch hand position responsibilities includes: following established cleaning, feeding and animal care procedures (animal habitat and property) with responsibilities such as mucking, cleaning waterers, throwing hay, general shelter upkeep etc; following established safety procedures for all aspects with emphasis on animal observations and cleaning; report concerns about animal behavior and health to supervisor; report safety and maintenance issues to supervisor; cross train to animal and equipment, supply use to gain familiarity and comfort following procedures and protocols on all properties; operate equipment such as pressure washers, weed wackers, other using safety and efficient practices assist in disaster preparedness and staffing affecting the Ranch honor confidentiality of business; implement and stay up to date with policy and protocol changes; provide animal care humanely and safely at all times demonstrate a high quality of work standards and ethics perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Knowledge and experience required:

Animal care (specifically horse although this is not a position caring for horses but skills transferable) experience required Behaviors required Must be able to work independently Highly motivated an energetic; ability to show initiative and work independently Ability to handle diverse, simultaneous tasks, meet deadlines and attend to follow through A positive outlook and vision Physical demands Standing long periods of time, walking an extended period of time Lifting 75# or more working outdoors in all forms of weather, including heat, cold, humidity, sun or rain use manual dexterity to handle/reach items and work with hands use close, distant, peripheral and depth perception Nonsmoking, nonvaping, drug free property. Multiple locations ' Summary As a Ranch Hand/Laborer, you will be an integral part of our Ranch operation, utilizing core skills of labor and observation, operating equipment to support daily operations. Your premium skills in livestock behaviors and care will be essential in ensuring the well-being of our livestock and maintaining a high standard of animal husbandry. Additionally, your relevant skills in mechanical knowledge, heavy lifting, and horticulture will contribute to the overall success of our ranch. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required for this role. Join our team and play a vital role in the care and maintenance of our ranch facilities. This is a job that does require some weekend and holiday work.
