Dog Groomer

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dog Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal grooming and handling, with experience in pet grooming, animal restraint, and pet care. This role involves providing professional grooming services to dogs of various breeds and sizes, ensuring each pet's comfort and safety. The Dog Groomer will also contribute to the overall well-being of our clients by applying their animal handling expertise and customer service skills in a friendly, professional environment. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping for dogs of all breeds and sizes. Handle animals gently and securely using proper restraint techniques to ensure safety for both pets and staff. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools, equipment, and work areas. Assess each dog's health condition during grooming sessions and report any concerns to management or veterinary staff. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs and aftercare instructions. Manage appointment schedules efficiently to ensure timely service delivery. Follow all safety protocols related to animal handling, grooming procedures, and facility sanitation. Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming, dog handling, or animal care roles. Strong animal handling skills with the ability to restrain animals humanely during grooming procedures. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting large dogs).
